One of my favourite days out is to visit a village in the north east of England, named Corbridge. Although very small, the village boasts some of the most unique retail boutiques, as well as some great places to have a meal.
RE:Corbridge is probably the most unusual, yet captivating stores I’ve ever visited. It is jam packed with unique finds from around the globe, hand sourced by it’s owners. It has a mixture of objects for the home available to it’s customers. I could literally spend hours browsing and buying! Not to mention it’s flair for the creative, the store layout is so artistic! A great find in such a small location. Last time I was there I go these beautiful silk cushions, which are based off real vintage hankies!
Another of my fondest finds is Vintage at the tower. This store is so warm and welcoming, and contains all the gems of eras past. Filled with everything from clothing, homewares to collectables. Not only are you guaranteed to find a vintage treasure, but the prices are incredibly reasonable.
Acanthus is also a beautiful little store. It sells unique gifts, from jewellery, to one of a kind candles, and decorative items. You can find a gift perfect for almost anyone here! The beautiful displays make me want to have it all.
The corbridge cookshop is an interesting place to visit. The store itself looks very small from the outside, but once your in the shelves and products go back for ages! They sell everything and more you could ever want to stock your kitchen, and even sell some lovely little gifts if you wanted to buy someone a present or souvenir.
After all this shopping your bound to be feeling peckish! Luckily Corbridge also has some lovely traditional english pubs. I usually frequent the black bull. They do great traditional pub lunches which are really yummy. They also sell a large selection of wine and beers, so after a long hard shop you can sit in front of the fire and really relax. I visited with my mum and younger sister.
Just a little train ride from Newcastle where I’m based, Corbridge is really a fantastic day out, and would definitely recommend you go.
